George Simeon

has over 25 years of experience in the healthcare sector working with multinational firms, start-ups and not-for-profits.  He has worked in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, IVD, and healthcare convergence technologies managing a number of cross-border transactions as an advisor to large firms and start-ups on global business strategy and fundraising.  

He has worked for SK Telecom’s Healthcare Division in M&A and global strategic alliances, as an executive with Johnson & Johnson as Vice-President for Cordis Neurovascular Europe,  with GHX Europe as a commercial Vice-President and in Market Access with Novartis at their Global Headquarters in Switzerland. George has also founded two start-ups and advised GS1 on their global entry and expansion into the Healthcare sector.  

George is a graduate of INSEAD (MBA) and Yale University (MPH).

HyoSook Bae MD, PhD

has 20 years of experience in healthcare across academia, clinics, surgery, NGOs and startups. 

She is a gynecologic oncology surgeon and was an assistant professor of the Department of Gynecologic Oncology and Minimally Invasive Surgery of CHA Gangnam Medical Center /CHA University in Korea. From 2018, working as a medical advisor of Black Kactus, LLC., she has joined business strategy building for early-stage businesses and reviewed a number of startups from the investor side.

She joined multiple humanitarian healthcare projects in several countries, most recently as  an onco-surgeon with the Cervical Cancer Project of Doctors Without Borders (MSF) in Malawi. THis experience brought her a deep understanding of the value of convergence across science, medicine, and technology.

 She has an MD and PhD in Gynecology cancer from Korea University and she is the candidate of MPH 22’ of Johns Hopkins University – Bloomberg School of Public Health.
